Everything is moving at a pace! We are currently talking to builders, engineers, specialists and the City about Mountain View School. At the same time we have been discussing what char levels and which ex-bourbon or new oak barrels will produce a fantastic Whisky.
Mountain View School
We are still on track to move into Mountain View School late Fall. We submitted a letter requesting the City of Revelstoke support our Heritage Revitalisation Agreement (HRA). This is vital so that we are allowed to do everything we need to both breathe life back into this beautiful building and operate successfully as a business. The next key dates for us are:
October 11 the Council reviews our submission,
November 8 the Public Hearing,
November 22 hopefully adoption of the HRA
This means we are planning to get the keys by the end of November. Supporting this we are in detailed discussions with contractors to ensure we can be operational as soon as possible to post out our pre-orders.
The remaining distillery equipment has arrived! We are now in possession of a beautiful mash tank, fermentation tank and still. This state of the art equipment will help us ensure continuity and a truly outstanding quality product.
In the meantime we hope you are enjoying the colours of Fall.
All the best,
